Bajra crunchies : An iron rich recipe in pregnancy

We all know in pregnancy, iron supplement is required. In general women are anemic and in pregnancy the requirement of iron further increases and even the taste decreases due to vomiting and nauseating tendencies.

Bajra crunchies not only is tasty but also easily palatable in pregnancy and as bajra is a rich source of iron, it can be encouraged to prepare and have during pregnancy.

Ingredients for Bajra crunchies

Bajra flour 50 gms
Chilli powder 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Cooking oil for frying

Method to prepare Bajra crunchies

Take all ingredients except cooking oil and knead them into dough using water. Make 10-12 balls of size as per choice. Prick then using fork or tooth prick and fry in cooking oil in a frying pan.

Serve with sauce.
